Wow. Our 36th update. I honestly didn’t think there was a number greater than 32!
But, much like a möbius strip, all things must come to an end.
Thanks for sticking around all this time, listening to us blab on and on about Side Effects. I mean, enough is enough already, am I right? But maybe I’m not right. Maybe, this end is only the beginning.
If you haven’t already seen, we recently launched a redesigned website, equipped with a blog! We’ll be using this PillBlog to post news about Side Effects and future games, so if you enjoyed our updates, please subscribe to our mailing list so that you can receive notifications of new blog posts and other cool stuff.
Join us as we make the jump through time and space.
All U.S. orders placed before our store closes on Wednesday will be delivered by Christmas. We’re fulfilling orders as they come in, but cannot guarantee Christmas delivery for international orders.

Gifs count for discounts: Send over a funny, weird, and/or pleasantly upsetting gif, and we’ll reply back with a discount code worth anywhere from $0.01 to $5.00, depending on how much we liked your gif.
Like getting into heaven or the opening night of a chic new custard store, this is 100% subjective and there are no reassessments.
All games ordered during our Kickstarter campaign should have already been delivered. If you ordered a game from our Kickstarter campaign and have not yet received it, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get you sorted out.
All pouches and wooden boxes have shipped within the U.S., and international pouches are going out this week. Mystery boxes will arrive in time for Christmas.

First off, numbies, we cannot thank you enough for all the kind words about the game. We’re loving all the pictures and videos from all over the world. Keep ‘em coming!
This Isn’t ‘Nam
We’ve noticed that there seems to be a wee bit of confusion around some of the rules. Allow us to clarify...
1. Using Therapy
Some of you are simply putting Therapy on top of the disorder you’re treating and leaving it there. This isn’t correct and will mess up gameplay. In the future, please discard the disorder AND the Therapy card when using. Think of it as actually using therapy to work on a specific issue and then discontinuing your treatment when that issue is resolved. You can still relapse, as displayed here...
It's also important that those Therapy cards cycle back into the game (via shuffling the discard pile once there are no more draw cards).
2. Using Misdiagnosis
This card is used to swap a disorder in your Psyche with one in your hand. The old disorder then goes into your hand! And the Misdiagnosis card goes into the discard pile. This is particularly effective if you have a treatment for the new disorder you’re swapping in. Observe…
3. Using High Tolerance
Use this to remove one medication on your opponent’s Psyche.
4. Bargaining and Discarding
While you’re only allotted 2 moves per turn, a discard and a deal with another player do not count toward your two moves. You can discard as many cards as you’d like during your turn, and a deal only counts as a move when you put a card into play on the table. We don’t have a video to illustrate this so instead…
If you haven’t received your game yet, don’t panic! They seem to be trickling in all over the world, but the good news is that you can track your extras orders!
